A Killer’s Nightmare, A Deadman’s Dream spans from 1985 to 2015, many of these ‘scribblings’ written in my later years. Each writing varies in style, topic, and pentameter. And each word - a subtle brushstroke upon a darkened canvas with few strokes of hope and promise, sublimating upon spiritual, philosophical and psychological elements. Part One: Nightmares and Dreams, is a collection of thoughts, ideas, poems and songs scribbled upon paper, myself the only audience. Many of the writings were never meant to be read by others, their syntax cryptic and disguised. Only 70 writings were selected for this section. Part Two: The Other Side, shifts direction away from the emotionally f ...

In each lozenge, I was equally concerned with the sound of the verse when read aloud, the creation of a vivid mental image through the words used, and the actual appearance of the lozenge on the printed page. Several of my early lozenges concerned my childhood days, and my goal then became to wri ...

Art always reflects reality. And occasionally reality is hard to fathom or comprehend. Still, the lack of understanding does not prevent the facts from existing. Are you willing to see that someone else’s reality can be true even if it’s not true to you? Are you willing to step out of your world to explore worlds unknown to you to consider that humanity is complicated? Are you willing to have your reality shattered by the nuances of other realities occurring within an arm’s reach? The characters in this short collection of poetry tell their stories while still managing to tell one central narrative, one that’s all too common for some. They experience and share their circumstance ...
